These Terms and Conditions are designed to keep everything clear, fair, and running smoothly for everyone. By using TugaHiit’s website, social media, and by becoming a subscribing member, you agree to the following:
What is TugaHiit?
TugaHiit is your “gym for Portuguese”, a flexible, practical, fun and interactive way to learn European Portuguese.
No recordings, no passive watching and definitely a lot of laughs!
How are classes taught?
- Live online via Zoom.
- Interactive (no recordings or long lecture-style teaching).
- Taught through the medium of English.
- Only 30 minutes per class.
- Small groups.
- Lots of participation and speaking throughout the lesson.
Do classes follow a fixed course or syllabus?
No.
TugaHiit does not follow a traditional linear course structure with fixed daily or weekly topics.
All content is original and carefully created to enhance engagement and learning.
Think of it like building learning blocks rather than climbing a strict ladder. Everyone develops at their own pace. Each class has a focus while offering different levels of challenge to support mixed abilities.
What level is it for?
It’s for ALL (except very advanced).

All learners develop through participation, repetition, confidence-building, real conversation and having fun.
Do you teach children?
No. Classes are designed for adults only (18+).
Do you offer certificates?
TugaHiit does not provide accredited certificates and is not designed for exam preparation.
However, if you’d like something to celebrate your progress, I’m always happy to create a personalised Canva certificate for your fridge.
How often are classes available?
There are multiple classes per day and a minimum of 20 classes per week.
Is the timetable always the same?
No.
The timetable is dynamic to allow maximum flexibility. Check the TugaHiit calendar daily https://tugahiit.com/class-schedule/ .

Do I need to book classes?
No booking needed.
Once you subscribe, you receive a Zoom link that works for all classes. Check the timetable and join any class that suits you.
Do you have course start dates?
No.
You can subscribe and start at any time.
If there are multiple classes per day, are they all the same lesson?
No.
Lessons are chosen on the spot based on the students attending that particular session.
Your teacher keeps a learning tracker with a record of classes attended in order to tailor learning, meet your personal needs and reduce unnecessary repetition where possible.
Even if you did repeat a class, you’ll always find new things to learn!
How do subscriptions work?
Much like a gym subscription, subscriptions give you access to the classes available within your chosen plan.

Do I have to wait until the first of the month to subscribe?
No.
Your subscription starts on the day you sign up and renews on the same date each month (unless cancelled).
What is the 30-day guarantee?
You can request a full refund within your first 30 days, for any reason.
The 30-day guarantee acts as a risk-free way for you to try TugaHiit.
Do you offer trial classes?
No need because instead of a trial class, your first 30 days act as a trial period through the 30-day guarantee policy.
I have missed a class or more, can I carry over unused classes or make up for it another day?
No.
If you have a 1 or 2 class per day subscription, you can only attend the number of classes allowed within that day. Think of it as a daily pass which resets each day.
Missed classes do not roll over.
Can I share my subscription?
No.
Subscriptions are per student and cannot be shared.
What if I don’t attend classes?
That’s completely fine.
Your subscription guarantees your access to classes whether you attend regularly or occasionally (no guilt).
Your subscription also prevents anyone from taking your spot. Therefore, your subscription remains active until cancelled by you or requested to be cancelled by you.
Unattended classes are non-refundable outside of the 30-day guarantee.
What if I’m late? Can I still attend?
Of course!
Logging into Zoom a couple of minutes earlier is ideal, as it helps your teacher choose the most suitable lesson for the group attending.
However, if you are running late don’t worry, simply join the class and flow with whatever is happening.
Are there classes at the weekend?
No.
Classes currently run on weekdays (working days) only.
What about Portuguese Holidays?
There are no classes during national or local Portuguese holidays. These breaks are part of the normal service and are not refunded or extended.
What happens if the teacher is absent or a class is cancelled?
In rare and/or unfortunate situations (such as illness, bereavement, or emergencies), classes may be cancelled.
For any continuous period of up to 3 days, there will be no refunds, credits, or subscription extensions.
If disruptions continue beyond this period (excluding major external events such as natural disasters or widespread technical outages), members will be offered extra classes, credits or extensions.
Can TugaHiit refuse or cancel a membership?
TugaHiit is a supportive community that goes beyond the 30 minutes of class and prides on providing a safe, welcoming and fun environment to its members.
TugaHiit reserves the right to cancel any subscription without refund in any cases of abusive, inappropriate, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour towards the teacher or other students.

Please note that you must save the TugaHiit number on your phone in order to view WhatsApp Status updates.
Where possible, updates will be shared on TugaHiit social media outlets and the notices page on the website (add link).
